Andrew originally hails from Upstate New York, but has called Portland home for 11 years now. A fundraiser with a degree in Theatre & Gender Studies, most recently, he worked for Zenger Farm and helped grow the Urban Grange. He sees Street Roots and the vendor program as part of the fabric of Portland and is excited to be on the team. When not putting the "fun" in "fundraising", you might find him sipping a microbrew, eating a bagel, cooking up something in his kitchen or randomly injecting Buffy quotes into conversation to see if people notice.
Our Friends Speak About Street Roots
I firmly believe that Street Roots was largely responsible for keeping the fate of inmate moms and their children on the minds of Oregonians. Because of Street Roots' in-depth reporting and tireless advocacy, the Oregon legislature overturned the Dept. of Corrections' decision to de-fund the Family Preservation Project at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville. Thanks to Street Roots, the Family Preservation Project is alive and well today helping inmate moms build healthy bonds with their children- Brian Lindstrom, Filmmaker
