Soul to Sole

One never knows when goodness and compassion will bless you. My shoes were so full of holes, they were not going to make it through the rainy weather that was fast approaching. A friend, Mark, saw my shoes and commented that I needed to replace them. But being a mother with three kids didn’t leave much room for such luxuries.

He asked my shoe size and told me to wait for him. About half an hour later, Mark returned with a Payless bag. It was a gift more beautiful than any I’d received in a long while. A gift from his soul. After hugging him, he thanked me for making his day.

I walked away with a brighter, more peaceful step because of his “sole” gift.

Thank you, my friend.
