Dan NewthBeing Simple (comes with complications)
by Dan Newth

self-published chapbook
$5.00 plus $1.25 shipping and handling

This is Dan's first attempt at self publishing, and it would not have been possible without help from street roots. Dan is one of the many people street roots has helped to inspire.

Dan Newth was born in the old St. Vincent Hospital when it was on the east side of Portland’s West Hills. Dan alleges that he has always been a bit slow (he didn’t start writing until he was 39) and a bit overly sensitive. While Dan admits that he may not have much in the way of material possessions, he derives satisfaction through devoting his time to worthy projects like street roots, crossroads and advocating for the homeless. He hopes this book communicates a few of the lessons that he's learned down the road of hard knocks.
