Join our growing vendor team as the Lead Vendor Program Assistant. The Lead Vendor Program Assistant supports the vendor program team to keep the office open, selling papers and conducting hospitality to more than 250 active vendors weekly. The Lead Vendor Program Assistant is responsible for the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring all tasks and projects are completed.
HOURS: 30-36 hours per week (could be variable). Non-Exempt. Medical, Vision and Dental Benefits
PAY: $22 /hour

Position Summary
The Lead Vendor Program Assistant supports the vendor program team to keep the office open, selling papers and conducting hospitality to more than 250 active vendors weekly. The Lead Vendor Assistant is responsible for completing the daily, weekly and monthly tasks, with assistance from Vendor Program Assistants and guidance from the Vendor Program Manager. The Lead Vendor Assistant will work closely with the Vendor Program Manager as well as the Vendor Program Assistants, helping aid in communication across the team and support professional development of Vendor Program Assistants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Vendor Office Support
Arrive by 8:00am to open the offices. Tasks include turning on lights, heat or AC, starting computers, making coffee, collecting the till and Venmo and tidying the space.
Close the office. Complete the EOD reports and deposits, perform cleaning duties, write office logs and participate in the debrief meeting with the vendor team.
Conduct hospitality to all who enter the office (vendors, community partners, individuals)
Manage SR front desk, selling papers, distributing Rose City Resource guides, distributing bus tickets, arranging rides through transportation partners, triaging calls, distribution of vendor mail, distributing Venmo funds, maintaining our Resource Table.
Write in Street Roots daily Office Logs and Vendor Incident Reports
Assist in the writing of Income Verification Letters.
Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the vendor office and back offices. Oversee the daily vendor chores and fill in to clean when a vendor is not available/the job is not properly completed.
Receive and process any packages, creating in-kind donation forms when necessary
Assists in New Vendor Orientation by inputting vendor information, creating badges and creating orientation bags. Lead orientation of the new vendors with the Vendor Program Manager or Vendor Program Director is not available.
Mediate vendor conflict, support vendors in crisis (in conjunction with Vendor Program Director and Vendor Program Manager)
Work with the Vendor Program Manager to make sure breaks, lunches and time off are properly scheduled for the vendor team.
Helps maintain and organize the vendor program database in SalesForce and digital file systems
Performing daily, weekly and monthly tasks
Complete weekly inventory counts, making sure our supply station and backstock are well stocked
Create biweekly Venmo reports. Check Venmo daily to “like” newspaper sales from customers and correct any sales that were not properly allocated to a vendor.
