Street Roots is proud to be one of the 2008 Spirit of Portland award winners, one of two awarded in the nonprofit category – along with Sisters Of The Road.
The Spirit of Portland award winners are selected by a panel of community representatives, including City Council offices, the Office of Neighborhood Involvement, business representatives and past recipients. Recipients are selected based on five categories on how they exemplify commitment to the community: helping with outstanding projects, enriching our community, providing a special service, responding to neighborhood issues and raising cross-culture awareness.
We’re honored to be recognized for this award and hope to see you all at the award ceremony, 2 p.m., Dec. 11 in the Council Chamber, with a reception following. Thank you!
