As many of you know, Street Roots is going weekly this Friday, January 2nd. Going weekly is big, really big. It has everything to do with you!
“Going weekly will bring more customers, better dialogues, better relationships, more money for vendors,” says Bettjo who sells the newspaper at Alberta Food Cooperative.
“My customers mean the world to me! With a weekly paper I look forward to serving my customers better," says Lori Lematta at the Pearl Bakery.
We can’t do it without you. We’re asking you to dig deep! We humbly ask for your generous support this holiday season as we make the transition from a biweekly to a weekly publication. By doing so, you are investing in giving our vendors a hand up and offering individuals a hefty increase in sales. It also means supporting professional grassroots journalism you won’t find anywhere else.
• Give today through the Willamette Week Give!Guide at www.giveguide.org.
• You can also give a secure online donation at www.streetroots.org.
We can’t thank you enough for supporting the organization. When you support Street Roots you are supporting more than 400 vendors selling the newspaper annually at more than 75 locations throughout the Portland region. That’s amazing. Thank you for the consideration and have a fantastic holiday season. For those donors that have already given, we thank you. It means the world to all of us at Street Roots.
